This site is devoted to BBQ, Barbeque, Barbecue ( however you want to spell it) This means charcoal & wood ONLY!! If you're a gas user you're a griller. You can, and I do, grill with charcoal, but please don't call it barbeque. I hope to share some of my favorite recipes, some of my photos and some links to some of my favorite sites.
Real Barbeque is bragging food. Maybe it's the great smoky flavor or maybe it's the adulation of the eaters, but somehow all pitmasters develop into natural boasters, cocky enough to milk a bull. When I make my BBQ I like it "spicy". Some people call it "hot". Some call it "*%$@! HOT." I like chile peppers of all varieties. There are so many flavors and heat levels. For those of you who don't know "heat" is measured in Scoville Units. Many of you probably know that when referring to the peppers it's "chile" and when referring to the soup it's "chili". Since I seldom use commercial BBQ sauces and rubs (I prefer to make my own, that way I know I'll like it), fresh herbs and spices are crucial. The web also has has a wealth of information on BBQ. Here are some of my favorite links.
I'm an avid backyard BBQer, year round every weekend, so here are some photos of Me & BBQ As a certified BBQ judge I get to see lots of smokers.
